Staying Focused

Luke 9:62 Jesus said to him, No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back [to the things behind] is fit for the kingdom of God.

The life you had back there served it’s purpose, bringing you to where and who you are today. The only time you should ever be looking back is to see how far you’ve come. The enemy will attempt to distract you with the past, bringing back to mind the “good times” while lying about the pain and heartache that eventually came with it. Since God has allowed those doors to close, stop trying to reopen them by reliving some moments with either thoughts or behaviors. We have to be like Paul and forget the past (Philippians 3:13 AMPC),while daily walking and working towards being more Christ like and fixing our gaze, spiritually and naturally, on the things ahead (Hebrews 12:2 AMPC). God has planned the good life for us, all we have to do is walk this thing out as we follow His lead (Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).
