Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].
Stay on course. Our text tells us that God has prepared a path for us ahead of time that we should take. That means everything is in divine order. If you veer of course you’re going to have to work a little harder to get back and you can do it. When I talk about veering off course I want you to think about things God has spoken to you that you need to do i.e. exercise, eat right, finish a project that’s been languishing around undone. It could be adjusting your schedule so that your time spent with Him is increased. Whatever your own personal thing is-and only you know what it is-do it. Don’t let the challenges you’ll face nor when the enemy starts whispering words of doubt and discouragement into your ear throw you off. Focus on the Word (Proverbs 4:20-22 MSG). Read and reread the text. God Himself has selected and hand picked you for such a time as this (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC). There’s so much work to do, that I’m reminded of a song from back in the day titled “Ain’t no stopping us now” by McFadden and Whitehead, where they said “we’re on the move”. You’re on the right track. Just keep moving!
