Psalm 43:5 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him,
The help of my [sad] countenance and my God.
We can’t afford to let the vicissitudes of life get us down and how you handle them is what we’re going to touch on today. Life happens to us all and no one is immune to it. We face challenges with our relationships, money and health issues. There are times when we’re dealing with them one right behind the other or all at once, but our text tells us to hope in God. What I found works for me and I mention it frequently is to rehearse past victories. When I testify to myself the things God has already done for me, just like David I get encouraged in the Lord (1Samuel 30:6). The things you’re experiencing didn’t catch God by surprise, and just like there are water stations along the race course for a marathon runner, He strategically has placed people to help and provide encouragement along the way. God put it all in the budget for your life (2Peter 1:3 AMP) and if you just trust Him, you’re going to make it through just like Daniel’s friends came through the fiery furnace and didn’t even smell like smoke because they trusted in God (Daniel 3:26-28 AMP). Whatever comes your way give it to God, and let Him care for you (1Peter 5:7 AMP), because your hope’s in Him!
