Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. NASB
Our text is talking about being part of and active in a fellowship. Webster’s 1828 defines fellowship in part; Company; a state of being together; mutual association of persons on equal and friendly terms. There is power when we come together and are all on one accord. One of the ways you can truly feel the effects of this is when you’re experiencing some challenging situations that normally would knock you off your square but somehow you are at an even keel. That my friend is the power of those who are praying for you so don’t take it lightly when someone says they are praying for or when asked to pray for others, our prayers avail much (James 5:16 AMP). By the same token we are called upon to bear the burdens of those we are in fellowship with and let them know they are not alone, and when we see our fellow soldiers in error we don’t shoot our wounded but rather we restore them in the spirit of meekness thinking that it could very well be us one day wearing those shoes (Galatians 6:1-2 AMP). God has placed us here to help and work with one another as we fulfill His plan and purposes for our life and there is power in the herd when we come together as one in Christ!
