Mark 11:13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree [covered] with leaves, He went to see if He could find any [fruit] on it [for in the fig tree the fruit appears at the same time as the leaves]. But when He came up to it, He found nothing but leaves, for the fig season had not yet come. 14 And He said to it, No one ever again shall eat fruit from you. And His disciples were listening [to what He said]. 20 In the morning, when they were passing along, they noticed that the fig tree was withered [completely] away to its roots. Most of us are familiar with the story of the fig tree and how the disciples brought it to Jesus’ attention what happened. When we read further into it, Jesus began telling them to have faith in God or rather the God kind of faith (Mark 11:22 AMPC). This is where you can have the things you say, if you truly believe what you say and not doubt it in your heart. Here we’re taught a great lesson in faith and drives home the only thing Jesus asks us to do, and that is to believe. When you pray, believe that you receive and it’s yours (Mark 11:23-24 MSG). Whatever you’re believing for, in order to receive you have to take it. Faith takes the answer when we pray. There are a some basic tenets that have to be followed if you’re to receive. You have to be consistent and careful with your words, because the thing you’re praying for might not manifest immediately, and when this happens you have to keep your faith moving until it does, saying over and over again: I believe I receive. In consistency lies the power. Jesus had power because of the time He spent in prayer with the Father. The more you time you spend in the Word and prayer, the more you learn, the more you obey, the more you receive and the easier it is to get your prayers answered. Say for instance you start having symptoms in your body. The first thing you do is rebuke the symptoms, command it to go and stand on the Word about healing (1 Peter 2:24 AMP). If finances are the area you need healing, confess the Word over it (Philippians 4:19 AMP). This not a one-time occurrence but is done daily. I suggest you do it now, before things come up. Make it part of your daily worship time with God, and when situations arise, the Word of God will be the first thing coming out of your mouth. This is a faith fight and it’s a good one (1 Timothy 6:12 AMPC) because we win, and just like Jesus spoke to the fig tree and it obeyed Him, your situations, regardless of what they might be, will obey you also.
