Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The definition of receive is: To take, as a thing offered or sent; to accept. Our text is telling us to take it when you pray. Let me give you an example. Let’s say I put some money on the table and said it was yours. As long as it sits there it’s yours, yet in order for you to actually receive it, it’s not yours until you come and take the money off the table. The promises of God are the same way, speaking it is how you take it. Going back to our text, “when you pray, believe that you receive, and you shall have it”. Simply believe, that’s all Jesus asked us to do, so focus on what you believe (Mark 9:23 AMPC). Put the Word in by making a daily deposit, because a sound mind is one that is renewed with the Word of God (Ephesians 4:23 AMP). Faith begins where the will of God is known, and the will of God is the Word of God. Faith believes and faith does the Word of God. When things come up, ask God first (Matthew 6:33 AMPC), it’s imperative you get God involved with everything. Say for instance you start having symptoms in your body. The first thing to do is speak the Word of healing (1 Peter 2:24 AMP) and then tell your symptoms where to go (Mark 11:23 AMPC) and expect it to happen. You have to expect every symptom is gone and stay expectant until it is. If you have a financial need that has to be met, you have to command money to come in order to meet that need, and that’s done when you speak the Word over it (Philippians 4:19 AMPC) because there is no lack in the kingdom of God. It takes Word diligence, and words create the image. Today, receive what’s already been done. Whether it’s healing, prosperity, deliverance or salvation for a loved one, it’s just waiting on you to take it.
