Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
The other day we talked about not getting stuck in the middle and today I want to piggyback on it and look at it from the perspective of being in between believing and receiving. Just like we talked about previously this too can be a place of uncertainty if you allow it but it doesn’t have to be because we are people that are living by faith (Habakkuk 2:4).
When things don’t happen immediately know that God is getting everything into alignment and it’s working for your good (Romans 8:28). God answers prayers and the qualifier to getting through this phase is to not have any doubt (Mark 11:23).
Doubt is fear based and a definite faith killer, but if His word says you can have what you say then why doubt it. Without paying much attention to this principle and not giving it a second thought what you have and where you are right now in life is a direct result of the things you’ve been saying. Your words put it into motion and good or bad you’ve got it and if you’re waiting to receive what you believe then do like God did with Abram when He changed his name to Abraham and began calling him what he was yet to become; Father of a multitude (Romans 4:17). When you can do this consistently, you’ve begun to exercise your faith muscle and it’s going to get stronger.
It really all boils down to trusting God and letting Him do it His way and not get in there and try to help speed things along (Proverbs 3:6). Just stay in the word and continue to speak those things the be not as though they were and they’ll soon be!
