Don’t Let Your Thoughts Defeat You

Proverbs 23:7  For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost].

I’m going to get transparent with you. Today’s subject is something that I’ve been dealing with and didn’t realize it until the Holy Spirit gave me the revelation. Recently I had been challenged with symptoms in my body and I started mentally making physical adjustments before I did anything. Where was I going to park and how far the walk was my mind set. Mind you now I’m confessing God’s Word daily along with praying and reading my Bible yet I somehow fell into this mental trap. To get out of it I began speaking against those defeatist thoughts by confessing God’s Word and calling those things that weren’t as if they already existed (Romans 4:17 AMP). Every time my thoughts wanted to go in the direction of making adjustments I spoke healing (1Peter 2:24 AMP) and interrupted those thoughts. I’ve learned that you can’t defeat a thought with another thought.  You have to open your mouth and say something; it’s the only way. Those of you who know me know that I’m a firm believer of the principle that you can have what you say and that’s what I did (Mark 11:23-24 AMP). My question to you is: What thoughts are trying to stop you from getting everything God has said is yours? Speak God’s Word against them and walk in the victory that is already yours!
