2 Corinthians 3:2 [No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody.
Lately I’ve been witnessing some actions by others in the body of Christ, where they are speaking ill of certain leaders that have successful high profile ministries. Although I am vehemently opposed to what they’re saying and doing, it lead me to a train of thought and do a self evaluation that I want to share it with you today.
Are you aware that you might be the only bible some people will ever read?
What do people read about God when they encounter you? Do they see Christ in you? Are you carrying a message sufficient enough to lead others to Christ?
What are you saying? Is your speech seasoned with grace when negative situations arise or is it of the world? (Colossians 4:6) Do you speak ill of others in the body i.e. your brother or sister in Christ?
We have been commanded by Jesus to love (Matthew 22:37-40 AMP) and if we’re truly walking the talk then people should see and hear God working in us (Philippians 2:13 AMP). As you go through your day regardless of what might come your way keep asking yourself: What story am I telling about God / what are they reading?
