Matthew 14:28 And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.
29 He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.
30 But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]!
31 Instantly Jesus reached out His hand and caught and held him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
When you’re out there walking by faith, you can’t afford to look at any negative circumstances that might arise (2 Corinthians 5:7). Spending time daily in the word preps you for when they do and when you read the entire account of what led Peter to begin walking on the water, there’s a lot to learn (Matthew 14:22-33). Most importantly God is with you and He won’t leave you.
As I mentioned earlier, when you’re walking by faith you have to make a decision to keep your focus on Him and not the effects of a storm. No matter what it might look like staying in faith deals with doubt. If you choose to doubt, it removes faith from the equation and the thing you have spoken and desire to see manifested won’t happen (Mark 11:23).God has a plan for all of us and He is with us every step of the way!
