2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.
We know what the Word says and all the mechanics involved in making it work, but when we have a problem and find a promise in His Word, do we pray out of faith or fear? The Bible is full of promises to help us combat just about any situation that we encounter. So I ask what’s your focus? How are you praying? I know these are some probing, thought provoking questions, but you must ask and answer them for yourself. We can do faith things out of fear. As an example let’s look at tithing. Do you give God 10% or do you tithe? Is it done so you won’t be cursed or out of worship simply because of whom God is? It’s the same act of giving, but what is your motive? The Bible tells us that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law (Galatians 3:13 AMPC). So, if He redeemed us then contrary to some beliefs, if we don’t tithe, we can no longer be cursed. By the same token if you don’t tithe or show that you trust God in the area of money, nothing else in His Word will work for you i.e. healing, deliverance etc. We are in right standing with God and live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4 AMPC) and not fear. As you go through your day, keep in mind that we are walking this life by faith and are not moved by what we see, hear or feel.
