Matthew 4:19 And He said to them, Come after Me [as disciples—letting Me be your Guide], follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men!
Our whole life should be one big fishing excursion where we are leading others to Christ. Most of us are familiar with “Show and Tell” and that’s what we should be doing. Our lifestyle or conduct should be evident that we have a relationship with Jesus (2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NASB), one that is borne out of spending time with Him daily in prayer and His Word. Spreading the Gospel and leading others to Christ is a privilege (Acts 4:11-12 AMPC) and not to be taken lightly. We should follow the same charge Paul gave to Timothy and be ready to preach the Word regardless if the circumstances are favorable or not (2Timothy 4:1-2 AMPC). As long as we continue to seek God (Matthew 6:33 AMPC)along with following the guidance of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13 AMPC), God will present the right holes for us to go fishing in (Colossians 4:3 NASB).
